Riders Training

We are happy to offer youth and amateur lessons at all different levels. Our school horses are happy to help bring any rider along in the direction they want. Specifically, we offer training in English Equitation and Hunter/Jumper styles.

Below you will find the following information regarding training for youth and adult riders. Each package is made for each rider and is aimed at education of rider both on the horse and on the ground.

Introductory & Individual Lesson Pricing

Private Lessons:

$75.00 Evaluation Lesson

$65.00 One Hour Lesson

$45.00 Half Hour Lesson

These lesson times include tacking, grooming, and rider safety education until the rider is fully capable of doing it themselves.

Group Lessons:

$50 One Hour Group Lesson

These are available to riders who can tack up on their own and do not need assistance getting on or off. The group lessons are on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings and are divided up based on riding style and skill level. They are a fun way to practice for competitions and get experience with a busy ring.


Basic Rider Training Package Pricing

These packages are due on the first of each month and require a 48 hour notice for rescheduling. Without the notice, lessons cannot be refunded because of scheduling difficulties with other riders.  

Lesson Package One:

$240 for four lessons

Lesson Package Two:

$460 for eight lessons

Lesson Package Three:

$600 for twelve lessons

Horse Training

Offside is happy to help you and your horse along or offer temporary care while you are away. It is important to create foundations on the ground up and we can help bring young and green horses along to finish.

We offer partial and full training to our boarders which includes options for lessons, general horse care, and ground starting horses.

Partial Training: $450 per month

Full Training: $580 per month

Trail Rides, Horse Camps, and Facility Use


Horse Camps

Our horse camps focus on developing a rider’s interest in the horse at all levels and making it fun! We are dedicated to sharing our passion for horses with the youth and showing why riding and caring for horses can be an amazing experience. 

We are open to all riders 5+ from beginner to experienced! We only require campers to bring closed toed shoes, jeans, and a lunch. Our daily activities include:

  • Horseback Arena Games
  • Lessons on Horse Care, Anatomy, and Behavior
  • Anatomy and Health
  • Pony Painting
  • Arts and Crafts 
  • Scavenger Hunts & Games

Trails

Just down the road from our ranch, there is miles of trails to explore on horseback and on foot. It lays at the foot of Mount Miguel and has beautiful wildflowers and fun terrain. It is a fun and relaxing way to get out in nature and connect with horses. We also include trails in the lesson program and have trail days once a month for everyone to join in on.

We offer guided trails for groups of 3 and 4 for an hour to two hours.

Our rates are $60 per hour and riders should come prepared with closed toed shoes and jeans to keep them safe! We have helmets available for riders who do not have their own.


Facility Use

We are open to haul ins and overnight stays but these are to be discussed with the ranch manager who you can get in contact with at http://www.jamultrailsranch.co. At our ranch we have one large arena, two round pens, wash racks, paddocks, and barn stalls available.
